We will gladly refund any new, unworn items within 30 days of purchase date for store credit or a refund. Items purchased at a discount are FINAL SALE and are not eligible for a return. Please note that we inspect all returns and we are unable to issue refunds on dresses that show signs of wear. Returns with odors, stains, food residue or otherwise received as damaged by the customer are not eligible for refund and will be returned to sender.
If you would like to initiate a return, please submit your return request through our Returns Center by entering your order number and the email address associated with your order. A return shipping label and instructions will be emailed to you after you complete the request.
Items returned to us without a return authorization, or without a name and order number enclosed may be returned to sender. Your item(s) must be received by our warehouse within 30 days of the date your order was placed or your item(s) will be returned to sender. Your refund will be issued in the original payment method. Please allow 14 business days for your return to be processed and your refund to be issued. Original shipping costs are not refundable. Customer is responsible for return shipping costs when requesting a refund. Customer is eligible for a complimentary return label when requesting store credit.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we do not offer exchanges at this time due to the limited availability of our products. If you would like to exchange your item(s) for a different style, please purchase the item you would like to guarantee availability. Then submit your return request through our Returns Center by entering your order number and the email address associated with your order. Buyer will bear shipping costs.
We ship via USPS First Class and Priority Mail. We aim to ship all orders within 2 business days of purchase. During high volume times such as restocks, sales or new releases, please allow up to 7 business days. We offer flat rate shipping for domestic orders for $6.00.
Dwell + Slumber always ships to the shipping address provided at the time of checkout and is not responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address. If your package is returned to us due to an invalid address, a $10 fee will be charged to reship your order or we will process your order as a return. The customer is responsible for making sure your shipping address, your color selection, and your order quantity are all correct before you complete your purchase. We are unable to make any adjustments to your order after an order is placed. We are also unable to combine shipping on multiple orders placed.
Packages that are marked as delivered but have not been received are the customer’s responsibility to track down. Please check with your personal mail carrier, neighbors, next to your porch, or your back door -- sometimes packages are delivered where you least expect them! Your local post office can check the geotag of the delivery scan and escalate an investigation on your behalf. Dwell + Slumber is unable to track down packages for you and is not liable for packages once the tracking is marked as delivered.
Packages that are lost by USPS will be replaced after 30 days of non-movement for domestic packages and 8 weeks for international. We do not issue refunds on lost packages.
We currently do not offer local pickup. We apologize for any inconvenience!
All international orders (excluding Canada) are FINAL SALE. International orders ship via USPS First Class Mail International. This service is only available for packages up to 4 pounds. If you add 4 or more pounds to your cart you will receive an error message at checkout. Shipping rates and services vary according to the weight of your order. For reference, most of our dresses are 14/15 ounces.
Orders will take around 2-4 weeks to arrive depending on your location and customs procedures. International orders may be subject to duties and/or taxes that are the responsibility of the customer upon delivery. Dwell + Slumber is unable to assume responsibility for customs fees and tariffs required by your Border Services Agency. Dwell + Slumber is not liable for lost, undelivered, or mis-delivered packages once your shipment leaves our warehouse. You are responsible for contacting your local shipping provider with any delivery issues.
In the event that an international customer receives an incorrect item – the customer will be shipped a complimentary replacement if available, or issued store credit including shipping to purchase a new item. Customer will not need to return the incorrect item.
In the event that an international customer receives a defective item – if the item has not been washed or worn, and the defect is reported within 7 days of order delivery, the customer will be offered store credit for the cost of the item including shipping paid for the item. Customer will not need to return the defective item. Customer can only be issued a maximum of $200 store credit per calendar year for defective items.
Please thoroughly inspect all items upon delivery and report any defects to email@example.com. We will not be be able to offer any resolutions to international customers for defects reported after 7 days or for items that have been washed or worn.
We take pride in designing and creating quality products that are finished by hand in the USA under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Our products are personally examined by a quality control team, but on rare occasions, human error can occur in the fast-paced environment of garment manufacturing.
Please inspect your item(s) carefully for damage or defects when you receive your order. You must email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of the date your order was delivered to initiate your claim. Including pictures of the damage in good lighting will help us assess the problem more swiftly and help us work with our manufacturer to improve quality as well! We will email you a prepaid return shipping label for you to send the item back to us. Your return must be shipped within 7 days of receiving the return shipping label or your label will be voided. Once we receive your returned item, you will be sent a replacement of the same item (when available), or you can elect to receive store credit in the form of an e-gift card or a full refund.
Please inspect all items when you receive them; we will not issue refunds after 7 days for damaged/defective items.
In the event that a defect arises after you have worn and/or washed an item, please contact us at: email@example.com. We are unable to assume responsibility for wear and tear due to normal, proper use of product, nor does Dwell + Slumber offer refunds for accidents, spills, stains, holes, snags, scratching off of gold hardware coating, or any defects created from self- or third-party repairs or alterations.
Due to third party Buy, Sell, Trade groups, we are only able to offer support for the original owner or purchaser with an order number.
Please note that variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our products. As with any retailer, there may also be variance in production on dye lots as well as minor improvements in fits and finishes from season to season. Measurements are approximate and variance is not considered defective. Due to the variety of fabrics we use, we ask you to keep these tolerances in mind when comparing one garment to another.
The handcrafted nature of our products and the delicate properties of fine jersey knit require particularly special care. Following wash instructions carefully will help keep your item looking new for longer and will extend the life of your garment. Label instructions: machine or hand wash cold, separately. Gentle cycle. Fasten snap buttons and zippers before laundering. Do not bleach. Lay flat or hang to dry. Warm iron or steam as needed. Dry cleaning recommended.
We are not able to provide laundering instructions outside of our care instructions printed on the label due to the many variables involved in garment cleaning (type and condition of washing machine, detergent, stain removers, cause of stain, etc.). If you have concerns regarding laundering your dress, please consult a professional.
Please note that while all our products are nursing accessible, we are unable to recommend stain removal tips for breastmilk. We recommend that you contact your local dry cleaner or cleaning professional for stain removal and laundering advice beyond care instructions provided on the label.

Consent grants permission for Dwell + Slumber to use your photo(s) without payment or any other consideration. We will not publish the identity of any minor(s) pictured in the photographs provided, although the first name of the parent or the parent’s social media handle(s) may be identified.
We would never use your photo(s) in print without asking, however, by using the Dwell + Slumber tag or emailing your photos, you are consenting for Dwell + Slumber to use your photo digitally.
